A decorative patch with an embroidered "rain skull" design inspired by the embroidered motifs seen on Sukajan jackets. Originating just after WWII, Sukajan, also known as souvenir jackets, were given to returning soldiers in Japan as a token of gratitude for fighting overseas. The embellished satin-silk souvenir jackets became popularized in the 1960's by rebellious Japanese youth, in post-war Japan.
